The recent ‘Surface Patching’ work carried out in Burnthouse Road raised some concerns with residents.

I visited the site on Saturday 28th (the day after the workers departed) and took about 30 photographs of what looked, to me – a layman, like substandard work.

I queried the standard of finish with Highways at CCC and today I have received the response in the pictured email.

It appears that they have not completed the works as they should have done. No surface dressing has yet been applied and they will be returning to carry this out at some unspecified time.

They have carefully refrained from explaining whether this omission was planned or accidental!

I WILL be keeping an eye on this one!
