Stagecoach have been meeting with Mayoral candidates to discuss future of network (Reported in Peterborough Telegraph)
At the meeting of Whittlesey Town Council on 17/04/2025, we were given a report issued that day highlighting the fact that Stagecoach had released a Press Statement indicating that they wished to make changes to several bus routes in the region.

The potential changes that affect the Whittlesey area are the 31/33 services. This is what their press release says:

We know no details at this time, but dropping the March part of the route would probably mean that there will no longer be a bus service for Eastrea, Coates and the residents along Long Gravel.
We have long campaigned for improved bus services to the villages (especially Turves!). To hear that things may soon be getting much, much worse is devastating.
Be assured that I will be keeping a very close eye on developments and will pass on anything I learn. I will continue efforts for an improved bus service and, if I am successful in getting elected to Cambridgeshire County Council on May 1st, will take the fight, tooth and nail, to the Combined Authority.
